How we deliver Duke of Edinburgh
At Space, we have a targeted DofE operating license to support young people who are unable to access DofE through the traditional school route. We additionally offer support to registered SEND schools, young people with protected characteristics and Home educated young people in the Devon County Council areas.

There are three levels to the award:
Bronze – 14+ years
Silver – 15+ years
Gold – 16+ years
The Bronze level starting age is 14+, but if you are in year 9 and only 13 years old, you may be able to start a Bronze DofE programme if most of your friends are already 14.
For each level you need to complete these sections:
Skills / Physical / Volunteering
Each level is completed with an Expedition, which means you get to go outdoors! The Award can be matched to your interests; it is up to you how you achieve each section.
