We are hoping to secure a Business Development & Fundraising Lead to work primarily from our Youth Centre in Exeter. The work will be part-time, 22.5 hours per week, and may include working occasional evenings or weekends throughout the year at events for example. In this role, you will work alongside leadership colleagues to successfully secure business partnerships and funding to ensure the ongoing success and diversification of Space Youth Services. You will line manage and lead a small fundraising and marketing team and lead our approach to tender responses and grant applications. You will become an important part of our continued success.
What is the role
Working with members of staff to identify business development opportunities and appropriate costing models
Advocate for and secure financial support of those ideas with external agencies, businesses, trusts and grant givers via bid writing, attending meetings and networking
Have oversight of our grants and partnership-related income, reporting to our supporters when needed
Lead our impact and storytelling, inspiring donors and trusts to understand and support our mission
Line Manage a small team and enable them to collaborate with colleagues and grow in their fields
A willingness to work at times that are conducive to the fundraising activities and participants - including evenings and weekends on occasion
Develop corporate sponsorship and support, to enable us to launch new initiatives and services for young people.
About You:
Highly experienced in various areas of Business & partnership Development, bid writing and fundraising
Proven record of success
Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people
Creative and can see opportunities to grow and develop networks
Respectful with excellent empathy and kindness to colleagues
