Hours of work: 37 hours per week - Full Time (evenings and occasional weekend work)

Salary: JNC unqualified scale pt 12-13 (£28,501 - £29,606 FTE), qualified scale pt 14-17 (£30,750 - £33,141 FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and inspiring senior youth support worker in charge. You will have the opportunity to lead open access youth work from our Exmouth and Ottery St Mary youth centres. You will support the youth manager by helping to achieve the local management plan targets, Space strategic objectives, by developing new staff and volunteers and planning creative and educational programmes. You will also work with young people in their local communities, engaging them in street based activities, building positive relationships and identifying their needs. You will support individual young people, help them set personal goals and have the opportunity to share their concerns. You will represent your team at partnership meetings and will work very closely with peers from a variety of locations.

Designing and delivering creative curriculum content and programmes
Working with partners and stakeholder
Planning, evaluating and evidencing of youth work
Working some evenings and weekends
About You:
Experienced youth worker or confident that you have the transferable skills required for the demands of the post
Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people
Creativity and solution focused thinking
Respectful with excellent empathy and kindness
Ability to multitask, set priorities and reachout when you need help and support
High commitment to continuous professional practice
A reflective practitioner
