Come along to Exmouths Free Music Festival
This summer the Hive Live is back! Hive Live is a community and music event organised by the Young People of Exmouth, open to the public to take part in a variety of games and activities for all ages, learn more about space and to watch the young people share their talents in a live show.
Hive Live is an annual event run by The Hive Youth Centre in partnership with our youth centres and teams across Space Youth Services. Giving young people aged 11-19 years the opportunity to perform music, dance or poetry to their local community. It is a social event for young people, families and the local community in Exmouth, and a chance for us to promote our wider offer for young people through our service and other local services. There will also be a mixture of games and activities throughout the day run by youth workers and young people such as team games and wellbeing activities.

Fundraising at Hive Live
Why are we fundraising?
Fundraising at Hive Live is crucial firstly because no event is free to host! With any funds raised on the day it will enable us to provide young people events future.
The funds we will be raising enable us to continue providing a wide range of activities, sessions and support to benefit young people in our community. Having these resources will help us to provide young people with more opportunities and ensure that we can make a lasting positive impact on their lives. With your support we can do this.
How will we be fundraising at Hive Live?
There are a few ways we are looking to fundraise on the day of Hive Live which includes:
Suggested donations on activities and games
Donation buckets around the event
A raffle being held on the lead up to the event and on the day
Can’t make the day but still want to support the cause?
If you can’t make the day there is always another way you can support Space Youth Services mission to unlock potential in young people with their communities. You can donate directly to Space on our local giving page by clicking the button below.
Our Previous Hive Live Success
In 2022 Hive Live was a great success! Like this year it was held at Manor Gardens, Alexandra Terrace, Exmouth and hosted by the youth workers and young people at The Hive Youth Centre (Exmouth). This music and community event brings the public together and allows us at Space Youth Services to show the local community what we do both at Space and at their local youth centre The Hive YC (Exmouth).
In 2022 we had a variety of performances, activities and games on the day for everyone in the community to take part in. These 12 performances included; 2 bands, 5 solo artists, 2 young person drum-offs and 3 young people dancing. The activities and games on the day included things like face painting, zorbs, croquet, Dungeons & dragons and much more. We also used the time to talk to the public more about what Space Youth Services actually do and promote what we get up to.
