Exeter Residential Fundraiser
Can you help young people at 100 Club, Exeter, raise money for their summer residential?
Young people at our Exeter Youth Centre, 100 Club, and our Cranbrook mobile centre, are fundraising for their annual residential trip. This year they are raising money for a 4-day trip to Brixham and have a fundraising target of
£1,800
The residential will give at least 20 young people the opportunity to experience new things, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. The trip will include activities such as abseiling, stand up paddle boarding and coasteering, things that many young people don’t normally have access to. As well as encouraging them to get active, the residential will provide a safe, fun and welcome environment for our members, whilst building their resilience, confidence and self-esteem. It will contribute to their well-being, encouraging them to cook their own healthy food, give back to the group and learn some independent living skills.
Support Us
Young people have missed so many opportunities in recent years due to covid restrictions. Exeter’s young people are really keen to experience a residential with their peers and trusted youth workers. We want this opportunity to be free from financial barriers and accessible to all our members - which is why we need to raise money.
Young people in both Cranbrook and Exeter youth centres have been working hard to create and run a series of fundraising events during their sessions. So far they’ve put on a bake sale and they’re currently planning 2 car washes and a pre-loved sale. They’re looking forward to sharing their progress with you and we’ll be sure to share all relevant information on how to get involved - or simply have a clean car!

How are young people raising money?
We are also putting in funding applications behind the scenes and have already secured a generous grant from Exeter City Council. But we still have £1800 to raise in order for the residential to go ahead.

Our Previous Exeter Residential
We have previously held our residential at Grenville House which offers a wide selection of activities. Young people developed their confidence and social skills by spending time with other young people they don’t usually mix with. They really went outside their comfort zones with brand new activities that challenged them both physically and mentally, and opened them up to new interests and abilities. Opportunities like this can have a huge positive impact on young people's mental health, and can support them in developing new outlooks and skills that help them take ownership of their direction in life.
We are really excited to be able to give young people this opportunity again and we can’t do it without your support! Please support us by donating or sharing our mission.
Some of the things young people told us after the last exeter residential trip include:
“Epic”
“Phenomenal”
“I miss everyone, we also made a group chat with everyone who went on the residential”
This wonderful video celebrating the success of the last residential at Grenville House in 2021 was made by one of our talented youth support workers from 100 Club. They were one of the young people who attended the residential in 2021 so they know exactly how much of a positive impact this kind of experience can have. It’s amazing to now have them as part of the 100 Club team, helping to make the residential possible for more young people.
